How to Book a Magician for an Orlando Sales Meeting

Sales meeting magician Orlando searches land on tourist acts, leftover conference pages, and keynote listings that treat a sales kickoff like a TED talk. This page is the sales-meeting booking: a 20- to 40-minute magic set built around the number, for a team that already sat through a day of charts. An Orlando sales kickoff magician, on this page, is a magician for a sales meeting or a team meeting. It is not a keynote. It is not a booth set. It is not a 60-minute gala closer and it is not a theme-park ticket.

The failure is usually the brief, not the idea of magic. A sales team flew in, sat through numbers all day, and still has one more hour in the ballroom. A generic magician orlando listing will do the same set they do at a hotel bar. A keynote will talk about mindset for 45 minutes. Neither one puts your quarterly target in the room.

This is for the planner, the EA, sales ops, or HR with the budget. If you searched sales meeting magician Orlando or Orlando sales kickoff magician and landed here, the short answer is yes: a short, custom magic set can hold that room.

If you want a band, a DJ, or a casino night, I already wrote the catalog of corporate event entertainment in Orlando.

I'm Ryan Lally. I'm a Boston-based corporate magician and mentalist. For more than fifteen years I've worked adult rooms, from thirty people to well over a thousand, for companies including Amazon, Coca-Cola, T-Mobile, HubSpot, and the New England Patriots. I travel to Orlando. I do not live there. Airfare and hotel sit in the fee. There is no Orlando surcharge. If that number runs too high, I also offer interactive Zoom shows.

This is magic, not a keynote, not a booth

A magician works with props, sleight of hand, close-up, and stage magic you can see from the back of a room. A mentalist works with thoughts, predictions, and information the performer has no business knowing. Both live under magic. A magician is a general practitioner of the art. A mentalist is a specialized field. The same person can often do both if the material does not repeat. Ask which one you are buying.

This page is the sales-meeting magician booking: a short, seated magic show built around your theme and your targets. If the product you want is one shared mind-reading hour, that is the mentalist article. If you want a 45- to 60-minute gala closer after dinner, that is the conference and gala magician article. A corporate magician who builds adult material can hold a kickoff. A tourist listing can look identical online. Ask what they actually do with a sales number before you sign.

I perform for adults. If your meeting invited families, hire a kids magician. Balloon animals tell a sales kickoff it is a birthday. Adult stage magic does not.

This is not a keynote. I am not a motivational speaker with a deck. I am not going to give a talk about grit and then do a trick as a kicker. The set is magic. The custom work is your phrase, your number, your product name, inside that magic. Think of it as a 20- to 40-minute show that happens to be about this quarter, not a speech that happens to include a card trick.

This is not a booth set. A booth on the Orange County Convention Center floor is gather, qualify, hand off. That booking is the trade-show article. Do not brief a sales meeting as if it were an exhibit hall, and do not drop a 45-minute stand-up into a booth.

When the night has already become a dance floor, don't force a show into it. Book the band. The set still needs seats and a hard out.

Built around the number

A 20- to 40-minute set works when the material is built around your theme and your targets. I want the phrase from the morning session, the number you celebrated, the product name you need them to leave saying. That is the difference between a sales meeting magician and a magician who happens to be in the building.

One branded reveal is enough. Three in forty minutes sounds like an ad. Company name, product name, a quarterly target, a leadership name, the kickoff theme. Pick one or two. I will put your company name or logo in the show.

Keep the comedy clean. Your VP is watching how people get treated on stage.

Past about forty minutes you are competing with the next speaker or with dinner. A kickoff is not a gala.

Opening a general session is a cousin of this slot: fifteen to twenty minutes at the top of day one. If the program is a full conference rather than a sales meeting, use the corporate magician Orlando article.

Open fast and funny, with a person they recognize, and close on one piece that lands on everyone at once: the number you needed them to leave saying.

Pick the slot inside the sales meeting

Slot first. Talent second.

After the numbers, before dinner

This is the usual kickoff booking. The team sat through the year in review. They still have one more hour. Twenty to forty minutes. Seated. Crescent rounds if the room is in banquet: no chairs on the far side of each table. Theatre or classroom set solves sightlines if the hotel will do it.

Opening the kickoff

Fifteen to twenty minutes at the top, before the VP takes the stage. Do not run long into the first speaker's time.

Team meeting, smaller room

Winter Park, Lake Nona, Kissimmee, downtown, or a breakout in a convention hotel. Smaller headcount. Often no IMAG. Don't buy a 60-minute arena show for 70 people in a private dining room. The custom reveal still matters. The number still matters. The scale of the props does not.

Where this set fails

A sales-meeting magician does not work as background during a standing cocktail hour. Book strolling for that hour. It also fails in a booth. It fails as a keynote. It fails as a kids set. If the program is already a party, let it be a party.

Strolling at a kickoff reception is a different product. Same person can often do both if the material does not repeat.

Match the show to the Orlando room

Convention hotels book a lot of these. Rosen Shingle Creek, Gaylord Palms, the Hyatt Regency, and the Hilton Orlando. I am not going to invent square footage or banquet counts for any of them. Treat them as meeting rooms and ballrooms that already had a general session in them all day: house AV, IMAG that may already be in, a floor set in rounds unless you ask otherwise. Banquet light is for eating. Stage magic needs the audience visible and the stage bright enough for cameras. Load-in is a hotel dock and a freight elevator. If the rider you get back says "microphone" and nothing else, the performer has not worked this kind of morning.

Gaylord Palms adds a resort walk. International Drive hotels near the Orange County Convention Center have shorter walks. Your sales meeting is almost never on the exhibit floor. The OCCC is the second-biggest in the U.S. and runs more than 200 events a year.

Ask for a 30- to 45-minute sound check with the in-house AV team. If the room cannot hear the participant, the effect does not exist. A riser at least 24 inches high once you pass a couple of hundred people.

Theme parks are not corporate performance venues for this hire.

What a sales meeting magician costs in Orlando

A professional corporate magician for an Orlando booking runs $2,500 to $10,000. An amateur starts at a few hundred.

Strolling and close-up: $2,500 to $5,000

Headline stand-up: $5,000 to $10,000

A 20- to 40-minute kickoff set is headline work, not strolling, even when it is shorter than a gala. You are buying custom material and a seated room, not a cocktail hour.

Airfare and hotel are in the fee. I am based in Boston and I travel to Orlando. There is no separate Orlando surcharge. If travel pushes the fee too high, I also offer interactive Zoom shows. Zoom can work for a remote team meeting.

How to brief and vet the person you hire

Hire a magician the way you would hire a speaker: proof, a rider, and a plan for the session running late.

If their reel is hotel-bar close-up, kids' parties, or a tourist night, this is not the hire.

The rider should name the format you booked: a 20- to 40-minute sales-meeting set, not a gala and not a booth.

Ask what happens when the program runs 25 minutes late. In Orlando it will. The right answer is a show with sections that can be cut live.

Ask for a specific example of company material they have built. I want your theme, one key number, and the language you already use. Arielle Singer, Operations Manager at the New England Patriots, wrote that I built a Patriots-themed piece and was "the best magician we've ever hired for an event." Glenn Heath, Director of Engineering at GBH Boston, wrote, "What a show! Ryan blew us away with his humor and magic." James Herrick, Event Manger at HubSpot, wrote, "He entertained our guests and made his way around a very big crowd." Tayva Martin, Executive Assistant at Acadian Asset Management, hired me for a corporate holiday party.

Ask for a certificate of insurance naming the hotel as additional insured. I carry insurance and can provide proof on request. Watch a full set, not a reel. Send the brief a week out: the number you want in a reveal, headcount, and who on site owns timing.

Book 6 to 8 weeks out for a typical company meeting. Three to six months if you want custom material. Six to twelve months for a fixed December kickoff.

Book the Orlando date
